Main Aspects of Position
The Global Account Manager is focused on aggressively developing, managing, and executing on Siemon’s portfolio of business initiatives and product solutions. This person will identify and develop strategies to drive net new revenue growth in addition to driving adoption and consumption of both Siemon products and services within named accounts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Associate’s degree in business or related field is required or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
- Demonstrated success of at least 5 years selling into either Data Center or Smart Building environments.
- Familiarity with GHMT certification requirements and the certification’s relevance within both the European and global markets.
- Experience supporting and managing relationships with German Automotive accounts, including navigating global organizational structures and technical requirements.
- Excellent knowledge and proven success in global planning activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of network infrastructure and structured cabling for the Data Center and Smart Building environments, including direct and indirect distribution practices, channels to market, products and competitive environment.
- Strong experience developing and managing sales channels at a senior level.

Specific Responsibilities
- Personal responsibility for developing, engaging, and managing relationships within named accounts.
- Understand the named accounts organizational structures and where focus is needed to achieve long-term growth.
- Coordinate global sales activities within names accounts.
- Conduct on-going training as identified within named accounts .
- Provide timely updates on names accounts to Siemon sales leadership.
- Maintain and present weekly activity reports focusing on forecasting new and existing opportunities.
- Continual prospecting into named accounts.
- Collaborate and participate in joint technology events.
- Attend and facilitate end user meetings as needed.
- Attend product trainings.
- Achieve sales goals and other KPIs.
- Proactively manage the planning and execution of our go to market strategies within named accounts.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
- Other duties as assigned.
