Registered Installer℠ Program – Application and Training Overview/FAQ

Getting started with your Registered Installer company application:

  1. Complete and submit the RI Online Application form, here.
  2. Upon approval of your company application*, you will be forwarded an online MOU agreement and training registration form, with which you can register yourself and/or your technicians/installers for the online RI training class (see class details and agenda below)
  3. Upon submission of the above MOU agreement, and training registration form, you and all technicians/installers will receive confirmation emails including training links, instructions and next steps.
  4. Upon successful completion of the class sessions and final exam, you will receive a welcome email containing key RI company documentation and program resources. Training attendees will receive individual RI training certificates, including details required for obtaining BICSI and AVIXA education credits.
  5. Your organization is officially a Registered Installer company and you can start taking advantage of the program benefits immediately.

*Program acceptance subject to Siemon approval. Siemon reserves the right to determine RI program eligibility at its sole discretion

Registered Installer Training Overview and Agenda:

The online RI training class curriculum covers over 3 hours of key industry terms, installation best practices, low-voltage applications, and how-to videos.

  • The class material is self-paced, consisting of 6 on-demand sessions.
  • Each session is approximately 25-50 minutes in length
  • Attendees are allowed 2 weeks to attend all training sessions and complete the final exam.
  • A passing exam score of 80% or better is required for individual RI training recognition and industry education credits.

Registered Installer℠ Program – FAQ

Are there any costs associated with becoming a Siemon Registered Installer?

The application process is free, and if accepted into the program, there is no cost for company registration and individual training for your techs/installers

What are the training requirements?

To become a Registered Installer company, a minimum of one technician/installer per location must successfully complete the self-paced 3-hour online RI Training program and exam.

What project and ongoing educational resources are available to Registered Installers?All Registered Installers are given access to Siemon’s Partner Support Center –  a partner-exclusive library of resources developed to help contractors stay ahead of the latest solutions and best practices through application and deployment guides, tools and calculators, and educational assets. This password-protected portal also provide easy access to critical documentation, such as product warranty registration forms, field testing requirements, and product updates.
