Start with standard structured cabling design. Then apply extended reach where it solves a real problem, such as security cameras in garage spaces or remote buildings areas where adding telecom rooms or fiber is impractical.

Fully shielded cabling helps. Solid conductor cords help. And in some cases, selecting a different application speed enables additional reach.
If more distance is still required, options such as fiber or PoE injectors can be used to increase reach and remote powering. Just understand what is being added to the system and how responsibility for performance is shared when active components are introduced.
