Provides effective leadership, direction and general supervision to production personnel in machine centers, resulting in 95% on-time customer delivery performance at or below the expected cost.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Makes running adjustments, providing trouble shooting and routine maintenance, on machines as needed to maximize daily production.
- Coordinates execution of daily shop schedules to ensure timely completion of orders
- Ensure all stations are properly set-up and produces products in conformance to quality standards and procedures.
- Trains machine operators and provides ongoing validation of machine operator competency.
- Schedules and ensures preventative maintenance activities
- Coordinates planning of spare parts packages for automated equipment. Maintains spare parts inventory per plan.
- Maintains system accuracy daily by resolving shop order variances
- Maintains targeted inventory levels in Kanbans
- Provides for regularly scheduled cycle counting
- Ensures needed stock transfer forms are submitted to the warehouse in a timely manner.
- Resolves labor reporting issues daily to minimize unreported labor hours.
- Reviews effectiveness and completion of housekeeping assignments daily.
- Prepares for change of shift by providing initial schedule and materials needed for following shift
