Support the Quality and Continuous Improvement through compliance to all aspects of the Company’s Quality Management Systems, including responsibility for calibration, and support of product development and change control through verification and validation of products and components. This position also supports continuous improvement of production operations by minimizing waste, uncontrolled process/product variation, and risk of quality escapes.

  • Associates degree with mechanical, industrial, or engineering discipline preferred.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in Calibration and Control of Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment in a production or lab environment.
  • Understanding of molding and progressive metal stamping, sheet metal production processes, tooling and equipment desired.
  • Ability to effectively create First Article and First Piece Inspection Reports.
  • Proficient in use of computers, database systems (Excel/Access). Experience with Oracle ERP desired.
  • Proficient in the use of measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers. Experience with automated inspection equipment such as Smartscope and Microvu desired.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Internal auditor experience desired.
  • Working knowledge and practical experience with statistical process control.
  • Experience with applying six-sigma and lean principles to reduce waste and variation in manufacturing processes. (Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification desired)
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
  • Methodical, organized and detail orientated work habits.
