This is a hybrid role for a Process and Supplier Quality Engineer position.  In addition to supporting New Product Development and Operations as a Process Engineer, this position is also the quality representative for Purchased product. Responsibilities include supplier qualification and continuous improvement of supplier quality and conformance to engineering specifications. Management of supplier quality issues and improvement opportunities and performance as related to conformance to specifications, responsiveness, and commitment to continuous improvement through supplier audits, corrective actions, verification, and status reporting.  As Process Engineer, this position will effectively develop and implement documentation, procedures, systems, programs, tools, and studies for the purpose of making continuous improvements to the quality, cost, and lead-time of production goods and services provided to customers of The Siemon Company.

  • B.S./B.A. Degree in engineering/science discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience Quality Assurance or Process Engineering (CQE or CQA Certification preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ISO/QS Standards
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with production standards, cost of quality and manufacturing processes
  • Appropriate computer skills and ability to effectively use measurement equipment
  • Proficiency in specification development and document control
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
  • Training experience (desired)
  • Experience with project management. Ability to work independently and to effectively manage active projects to achieve planned results
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and/or six-sigma methods (blackbelt certification desired)
  • Knowledge of MRP System desired.
  • Ability to work effectively across various functional areas – especially production, purchasing and engineering.
