Effectively support and educate both current and potential customers with technical expertise to better position Siemon enterprise, data center and intelligent building products and solutions for specification for ongoing generation of business opportunities. Develop and provide professional training and technical support on the design and installation of Siemon Cabling solutions and programs as well as current and future market drivers. This position potentially could be located anywhere on the West Coast near a major airport.
  • 5+ years field and design experience in structured cabling systems
  • BICSI RCDD
  • Ability to provide classroom and hands-on training to both internal and external customers
  • Extensive technical writing experience
  • In-depth product and applications knowledge of LANs, Data Centers, Networking Applications, Power, Cooling, BAS and related technologies
  • Product development experience desired
  • Strong knowledge of related industry standards
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with copper and fiber field test instruments
  • Ability to effectively deal with customer problems and concerns as they develop
  • Demonstrated mastery of PC skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint & Visio) and other software tools to accomplish activities
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit or related BIM software
  • Capability to create other forms of communication intended to convey a specific message to a targeted audience
  • Strong team player with the ability to work in a supporting role
  • Ability to present at company sponsored or industry events
  • Demonstrated capability to set priorities and complete assignments, coupled with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees, internal departments and external contacts effectively
  • Ability to work overtime, sometimes on short notice
  • Ability to travel on short notice

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years with Siemon as a member of the Technical Services staff
  • BICSI DCDS
  • BS/BA Degree in technical related discipline or equivalent
