General Plant Mechanic
Maintains buildings, equipment and grounds for all Siemon Company properties.
Must be able to perform duties associated with Preventive or Corrective maintenance in a medium size complex involving plastic molding, metal stamping, tool room and assembly equipment as well as all building systems and multiple building and grounds maintenance.
Must be able to recognize, diagnose, disassemble, repair/rebuild, reassemble and re-commission any equipment or system.
Must be able to read blueprints and manuals as required for repair or installation of equipment.
Interact with managers, employees and tenants in the performance of their job.
Responsible for assisting in outside maintenance, such as snow removal and ice removal.
5 - 7 years experience in machine maintenance in a manufacturing environment
Valid drivers license with good record
Must regularly perform the job duties of several of the following: Carpentry, Plumbing, Millwright, Machinist, Mason, Electrical, Rigging and Welding.
Must be moderately skilled in several of the above trades as well as be able to install, maintain, repair pneumatic and hydraulic components and systems
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints & electric schematics
Ability to lift heavy objects (>50 pounds).
High School diploma or equivalent.
Prior Forklift Operation experience preferred.
Work under minimal supervision.
Must have own tools
Basic Computer skills.
