The Siemon Company is seeking a Test Engineer to support our R&D Lab. Responsibilities of this position primarily involve the use of internal and external test facilities to evaluate and qualify product performance. The Test Engineer oversees and is responsible for developing test specifications, test reports and test data. They apply mechanical, electrical and reliability engineering principles in order to establish valid test methods / qualification criteria in support of product development testing activities for Siemon products, according to planned schedules and with minimal supervision.
The Test Engineer analyzes product design and experimental test results to diagnosis and recommend improvements or corrective actions. Responsible for providing information on product performance to customers, engineering, production, quality, purchasing, and marketing in that this position may also have project engineering responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Experience working in a laboratory environment is desirable (2 to 10 yrs)
- Knowledge of Engineering test methods and analysis, Manufacturing methods/processes and Applications Knowledge
- Exposure to and knowledge of Quality standards (ISO 9000)
- Knowledge of various regulatory/compliance areas
- Basic knowledge of statistics
- Methodical, organized and detail orientated work habits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with laboratory equipment
- Demonstrated ability to utilize P.C. and other tools to accomplish activities.
- Strong technical writing skills
