POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for supplying production employees with components for jobs in a timely manner, safely moving products to appropriate areas, and properly packaging/preparing items for shipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent minimum
- Minimum 1 year demonstrated material handling experience
- Demonstrated ability to lift and handle material up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to handle components to established standards.
- Ability to drive a forklift and reach truck passing tests on sight and following all Safety Standards surrounding this equipment.
- Requires basic math aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Issues raw materials to the production floor and transports product and scrap as directed in a timely and organized manner
- Accurately verifies that quantities/receipts of products received from supplier are correct, properly identified and stored in an organized manner
- Receives, issues and transfers all material on computerized tracking system in order to maintain accurate/current records of material on hand
- Effectively and efficiently identifies product and any packaging needs as required.
- Informs Supervisor of scheduled shipping changes on a continual basis.
