The Global Manager, Smart Building Solutions, as an individual contributor, will play a pivotal role in elevating Siemon’s technology leadership and driving enterprise growth. This individual will provide crucial support and expertise to the global sales team, fostering strong and enduring relationships with key stakeholders, including (but not limited to) Corporate Real Estate providers, Architects, Designers, Installers, and other ecosystem players. The primary objective of this position is to secure the specification of Siemon’s Smart Building infrastructure solutions in target markets while increasing sales opportunity and focus. To achieve this, this individual will conduct engaging seminars and training sessions, actively support sales teams during customer calls and presentations, cultivate strategic partnerships with key players within the Smart Building ecosystem, and contribute to the development of compelling marketing and educational content.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in technical or related discipline required.
• 10+ years of broad market experience, with at least 5 years in a Smart Building focused role.
• Extensive knowledge around Network Infrastructure, IoT, Building Automation, Data Analytics and AI technologies to support building operations, energy efficiency and occupant comfort.
• Expert knowledge of the global smart building ecosystem, business models, customer value propositions, products, and sales strategies.
• In-depth understanding of adjacent technologies (e.g., Audio Visual, Physical Security, Wi-Fi).
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders within the smart building space, their preferred installers, integrators, and their ecosystem of preferred equipment suppliers.
• Firm knowledge of relevant network topologies and associated infrastructure to support them.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to develop presentation content.
• Effectively able to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders at various levels.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Ability to travel regularly, globally, and sometimes on short notice.
• Smart Building relevant certifications or accreditations preferred.
