Siemon Announces New Rack-It™ Mounting Brackets
Unique design assists installations where floor and wall space is at a premium.
WATERTOWN, CT — The Siemon Company, a world leader in the design and manufacturer of highperformance cabling systems and components, announces the release of its new equipment mounting product, Rack-it™.
The Rack-it is a set of mounting brackets that allows rack mount equipment to be installed almost anywhere. It's perfect for mounting network equipment, patch panels, distribution enclosures and more in areas where floor and wall space is at a premium. EIA 310-D universal hole spacing ensures compatibility with EIA-standard equipment and accommodates equipment up to 5 RMS (rack mount space). While Rack-it enables TIA/EIA-standard 19" equipment to be mounted either vertically or horizontally, spreading the brackets further apart enables mounting of other non-standard compliant apparatus as well. With a sturdy 12 awg cold-rolled steel construction, the Rack-it can support up to 75 pounds of equipment.
"What really makes the Rack-it bracket invaluable is the way it helps in areas where there isn't alot of room," said Brian McCaffrey, Siemon product manager. "It can be mounted to the wall, table or even ceiling, and hold equipment up to 5 RMS without concern for depth. It's a great product that cabling system installers will find very useful."
Rack-it mounting brackets are just one of the many rack and cable management products offered by The Siemon Company. For a complete selection, visit www.siemon.com.
