The Siemon Company Postpones Charity Motorcycle Ride Due to Forecasted Bad Weather

Charity Ride to Benefit the Water-Oak Youth Center Will Now be Held on July 6th

WATERTOWN, CT — Due to impending bad weather on Sunday June 1st, The Siemon Company will postpone this weekend's Charity Motorcycle ride and Car Show until Sunday July 6th. All participants should be advised that all activities for June 1st have been cancelled and will be re-scheduled for Sunday, July 6th. The same activities will be planned and the schedule for the new date is listed below.

The motorcycle "poker run" will benefit the Water-Oak Community Youth Center, Inc. and will now be held on Sunday, July 6, 2003 at The Siemon Company's worldwide corporate headquarters in WATERTOWN, CT. The Youth Center, established three years ago, is dedicated to fostering social development, character and community spirit in the 12-18 year old residents of Watertown and Oakville, CT.

"We regret that we have had to do this on such short notice," said Carrie Mahoney, Siemon's Manager of the event, "but to ensure the safety of all participants and to maximize attendance for this very worthy cause, we were left with no other choice."

All participants, including riders and car show exhibitors who had registered for the event this weekend, will stay registered for the new date.

Anyone who needs to make changes to an existing registration, or would like to register for the new date should call Jennifer Evon, Siemon's Event Coordinator at (860) 945-4256.

The schedule for July 6th is as follows:

9:30 A.M. — Registration of bikes. Complimentary coffee, doughnuts, and commemorative pins.

10:00 A.M. — Welcome speech by Carl Siemon, President. Mystery poker hand picked.

10:15 A.M. — Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Princeton Road officially becomes Siemon Company Drive.

10:30 A.M. — First group of bikes leave by way of Siemon Company Drive.

Noon — Food - Live Music - Prizes - Car Show
