Siemon's New 10G 6A™ UTP Patch Cords Improve Alien Crosstalk Control While Maintaining Bend Radius and Routing Flexibility
Meeting or exceeding all augmented category 6 performance criteria, these 10Gb/s capable RJ45 cords support Siemon's established end-to-end augmented category 6 (category 6A) UTP cabling solution.
WATERTOWN, CT - Siemon has launched an enhanced line of augmented Category 6 UTP patch cords/equipment cords. The RJ45-compatible 10G 6A UTP BladePatch™ and MC® cords meet or exceed all pending 10GBASE-T standard requirements and feature improved alien crosstalk performance.
The 10G 6A UTP BladePatch and MC cords complement Siemon's existing augmented Category 6 UTP solution, which was already independently tested to meet pending standards requirements. These new cords use a patent-pending dual-jacket design. This layered outer jacket configuration provides excellent protection from any crosstalk noise or other interference generated by nearby cables without significantly increasing cord diameter or compromising flexibility. With an outside diameter of 7.4mm (0.29 in.) the 10G 6A UTP BladePatch and MC cords can be routed through standard patch cord management products, such as horizontal and vertical cable managers. The outer jacket layer ends 6 inches from each plug end, improving patch cord bend radius and flexibility.
The 10G 6A UTP BladePatch features a patented push-pull internal latching mechanism, enabling it to be inserted and removed without the need to depress an external latch.
All of the 10G 6A UTP cords meet FCC68.500 and IEC 60603-7 specifications, resisting humidity, extreme temperatures and airborne contaminants. These UL-listed and 100% transmission-tested patch cords are also compatible with both T568A and T568B wiring schemes, which accommodate all Ethernet applications. Siemon's patented cross-pair metallic isolator and 360° crimp maintains pair geometry and eliminates deformation, resulting in maximum transmission performance.
