The Siemon Company Announces New MAX® Infrared (IR) Stereo Module
New product offering expands Siemon's Home Cabling SystemSM with wireless capabilities
Watertown, CT — The Siemon Company, a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of residential, commercial, and industrial cabling systems, announced the newest addition to the Siemon Home Cabling System product line - the new MAX Infrared Stereo Module.
Wireless/Infrared technology is increasingly becoming a standard within the residential cabling market. Wireless technology allows a quick and economical way to distribute infrared signals such as televisions, VCRs, DVDs, and audio equipment (speakers, receivers, headphones) from room to room. Today's technologically advanced customers demand the best solutions to meet their needs and The Siemon Company delivers with the new 3.5 mm IR stereo jack.
"The new MAX Infrared Stereo Module provides a solution to integrate a wireless infrared network over a structured cabling system," explained Brian McCaffrey, Siemon's Residential Cabling Specialist. "Even though "wireless" technically means no cables, there is still a need to distribute the IR signal from room to room, or anyplace where line of sight is an issue. The possibilities of this infrared module are endless — any connection that requires a 3.5mm stereo jack can utilize this new module, for example, distributing audio signals from a receiver within the family room to speakers/headphones located within the bedroom."
With the addition of this new MAX Infrared Stereo Module, customers can now find a complete solution from Siemon with voice/data/video and now wireless within a structured wiring system. The MAX Infrared Stereo Module is available now in both flat and angled styles, and is designed with 3-inch wire leads (26 AWG wire) for easy installation.
