Siemon is Now Offering 3 Additional Colors for SFP+ Twinax Cable Assemblies.

August 2, 2016, Watertown, CT - Siemon Interconnect Solutions, a business unit of Siemon that provides custom network infrastructure solutions to OEMs, value-added resellers and system integrators, is pleased to announce the addition of 3 colors (red, white and blue) to our current line of black SFP+ cable assemblies. The additional colors will help facilitate color coding by differentiating various networks and/or applications while retaining the same features and benefits as our current product line.

"Our customers want to be able to easily distinguish their cables in specific applications. These cables will allow them to do so."

Ideal for switch-to-switch and switch-to-server connections within the data center, these cable assemblies have been tested for interoperability and meet industry standards, providing customers with a best-in-class cabling solution.

SFP+ active and passive copper cable assemblies from Siemon were developed specifically as a cost-effective alternative to optical transceiver modules for short reach links in high-speed interconnect applications such as Top-Of-Rack (TOR) switching, high performance computing (HPC), and network storage markets. These assemblies support data transfer rates up to 10+ Gb/s per lane, meeting or exceeding current standards specifications.

These SFP+ fully-shielded assemblies combine twin-axial shielded cable configuration with robust die cast housings for enhanced support of high frequency data rates. These SFP+ assemblies are impedance matched to ensure interoperability and minimize EMI leakage through their fully-shielded design.

The active cables use signal processing within the connector back shells to extend the length that copper cables can reach beyond the limits of passive copper solutions. Now the same SFP+ cables that customers have come to trust are offered in four distinguishable colors.
