SIEMON ANNOUNCES INDUSTRIAL MAX 6 OUTLET AND PATCH CORDS

New industrial product offering from Siemon provides a seamless category 6 solution from the office to the factory floor and beyond

WATERTOWN, CT – Siemon, a world-leader in the design and manufacture of network cabling solutions and components, is proud to announce the release of its new Industrial MAX 6 outlet and patch cords.

Siemon is well known for its industry-leading category 6 products and was the first manufacturer to offer a full series of category 6 compliant products over two years before the category 6/class F standards were finalized. Now, Siemon has expanded its line of superior performance category 6 products to include modular outlets and patch cords designed specifically for industrial applications or any facility where dust, moisture, chemicals, or vibration can negatively affect network connections.

Both the Industrial MAX 6 module and patch cord feature Siemon’s high-performance category 6 UTP RJ-45 connectors encased in a protective outer housing. This housing, made of heat-resistance thermoplastic, features a bayonet-style mating design that easily and securely latches with a quick 1/4 turn, offering a superior protective seal against solid and liquid contaminants. Both outlet and patch cord are IP67-rated. The Industrial MAX 6 patch cords are available in both an industrial plug-to-industrial plug version and an industrial plug-to-RJ45 version.

The Industrial MAX 6 outlet and patch cords are ideal for protecting network connections in laboratory environments, hospitals, food processing plants and other environments with less than ideal conditions, while still providing category 6/class E performance for Ethernet and other industrial and IP-based applications.

Siemon's Industrial MAX is the first RJ-45 connector interface to become standardized by ISO/IEC. In addition, Siemon's industrial products are recognized by the Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA) and are included in the North American Rockwell Encompass Program.
